Arthur Chrysler has deep, long-time roots in the automotive industry.  March 3, 1952 Bert and Wilma Rooney started Rooney Motors at the corner of Highway 6 & 9 in Arthur, Ontario.  From this humble location Bert & Wilma sold used cars and trucks as well as operated a small restaurant and SuperTest gas station. 

As time moved on and the Rooney's became known as people who you trust, get good deals from and people you could trust to service your used vehicle right the first time.  Because of this, the business became much busier and with this, Bert and Wilma's boys, Jack, Bob, Ron and Wayne all became much more involved in the business. 

Over the next 20+ years, Rooney Motors grew beyond its small lot which led to the boys, who now operated the business, to building a new lot just a few hundred feet down the road on Highway 9 . The business now known as Arthur Chrysler, opened its new doors on June 30, 1975. 

As time wore on Arthur Chrysler continued to grow and draw in additional family members to work in this small community.  By 1995 the service business needed to expand beyond its capabilities so they built an addition to accommodate it.  About a year later, the new car and truck side of the business was growing as well so the showroom was expanded to better house our numerous sales people and better display the quality new Dodge trucks, Chrysler cars and Chrysler minivans.
